Usage-based gateway billing
Provider price + a transparent service margin — you can see the exact margin per project in the cockpit. A hard budget limit is included: you only pay for what your agents actually use.
The provider price is rounded up to whole cents per call, at least 1 cent — this covers provision and data traffic, regardless of request size. The 10% service margin is added on top.
Worked example: price per call
A typical call through the gateway, model claude-haiku-4-5 (provider price: €0.80 per 1M input tokens, €4.00 per 1M output tokens) with 10,000 input and 2,000 output tokens:
- Input: €0.80 × 10,000 / 1,000,000 = €0.008 (0.8 cents)
- Output: €4.00 × 2,000 / 1,000,000 = €0.008 (0.8 cents)
- Provider price per call: 1.6 cents, rounded up to whole cents: 2 cents
- + 10% service margin: 0.2 cents
→ Final price: 2.2 cents per call — exactly this amount is debited from your balance.
Small requests come in below 1 cent and are rounded up to 1 cent — with the margin, the smallest call costs 1.1 cents. Provider prices come from the configuration of the connected models; the cost check works them out for your numbers.
How does gateway billing work?
You top up prepaid credit to your wallet. Every call is checked against budget and wallet in real time and debited atomically; if a stream aborts, the remainder is refunded. Billing is transparent in cents — provider price plus service margin.
Is there a minimum charge per call?
Yes — the provider price is rounded up to at least 1 cent per call; with the margin, the smallest call costs 1.1 cents. This covers provision and data traffic, regardless of how small the request is.
What happens when the budget is exceeded?
The call is blocked immediately — before it reaches the provider. The budget is race-safe: parallel calls cannot exceed the limit.
Which providers are supported?
OpenAI, Anthropic and Google (Gemini) — via a unified OpenAI-compatible API. Additional providers can be added on request.

Frequently asked questions
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Subscriptions are monthly and can be cancelled anytime to the end of the billing period — no minimum term.
What happens if I exceed my limit?
Overage is billed per call. In your dashboard you set a hard budget limit (default €0), so there are never surprise costs.
Is there an annual plan?
Yes — at a 20% discount versus monthly. You choose the interval at checkout.
Where is my data stored?
Exclusively in Germany. Privacy is the default, not an add-on.
How does the gateway bill?
Usage-based via the prepaid wallet: provider price plus a transparent service margin. A hard budget limit (default €0) stops calls before any cost accrues — you only pay for what your agents use. The platform tiers (Free/Plus/Pro) cover the prompt platform; the gateway is billed separately by usage.
